美國兒童節目《芝麻街》將推出阿拉伯語版本，除了原班布偶輪番上陣，還會有一些新朋友加入節目，另因應地域不同，節目內容也將做些在地調整。
這個長壽節目在西方播出時常探討家庭破碎問題，但轉到中東後，會以協助兒童、特別是年輕的敘利亞難民處理情緒為主。
新版節目名為「歡迎芝麻」（Ahlan Simsim!），幾位新角色將加入原版的主角，今天起在中東衛星頻道MBC 3上與大家見面，每週播出6天。

節目由國際救援委員會（International Rescue Committee, IRC）以及負責《芝麻街》全球節目的芝麻街工作室（Sesame Workshop）合作，目的是為受敘利亞衝突影響的兒童與照護者帶來撫慰。
敘利亞內戰2011年爆發後，至今造成510多萬敘利亞兒童流離失所，其中250萬人現在住在黎巴嫩、土耳其與約旦等區域內。
